Arkansas wide receiver Ketron Jackson has announced that he will be

transferring to Baylor University.

Jackson was a consensus four-star prospect in 2021according to 247sports, Rivals, and ESPN. He is rated as the No. 21 wide receiver in the country and the No. 21 prospect in Texas by 247Sports, and he is listed in ESPN's Top 300 at No. 219.

Jackson played high school football for David Petroff at Royse City High School in the Dallas Metroplex. He was a two-time All-District 8-5A selection and had a standout senior season, making 39 catches for 765 yards and 10 touchdowns. In addition to his work as a wide receiver, Jackson also played defensive back and had two interceptions. He had a career-high 197 yards receiving and two touchdowns in a game against Forney, and he returned a kickoff 90 yards for a score in the same game.

Jackson was also an accomplished track and field athlete in high school, competing in long jump, triple jump, and the 4x200 relay. He led all Dallas-area athletes in long jump with a distance of 24 feet 11 inches, and he ranked third in triple jump with a distance of 47 feet 6 inches. Jackson chose Arkansas over a number of other colleges, including Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Baylor, TCU, and Oregon State.

Before transferring to Royse City, Jackson played at Lancaster High School in Texas. He was a two-sport athlete in football and track and field, competing in the 200 meters, relays, and long jump. In the spring of 2019, he earned first-team all-District 8-5A D-II honors as a receiver. In the spring of 2018, he finished third in the state in the long jump at the Texas Class 5A track and field championships. Jackson has the potential to help out and lead WR room at Baylor that didn’t play up to the usual standard last season. Hopefully Jackson along with Baldwin and others can also help the development of  QB Blake Shapen.
